Ho made his retreat fioni the hall not long afterwards, and: being asked by si me acquaintances why he left before the end of the concert gave the following explanation: "Wey," he said "aa wes beggowin ~'((d to got oot safe You chap gat up <in' baals oot, 'Aa'm tho King of Glory.' Directly efter anuther jumps up an' yells ,'A'i's the King iv Glory.' No sunior wes he doon than up starts anuther chop an' screams oor, 'Art's tho King iv Glory.'. Then the whole lot began to yell, 'Aa's the King iv Glory,' an, as sua thor wes gaun to be a row. aa cam oot!"
