HEALTH CAMP
ALLOCATIONS FOR OTAKI The Otaki Health Camp will cater during the summer months for lOd children, providing finances are available, and allocations have been made as; follows: Wellington district 40 r Hawke’s Bay 20, Manawatu 25/( and Wairarapa 10. At present thiifo are; about 70 children in camp. This was reported at a meeting of the Wellington District Health Camp executive. Dr. E. H. Gibbs was reelected chairman ofr the executive, a, position he has held since 1932. Appreciation of D'r. Gibbs’s work over a long: period was expressed. The following management committee; was also elected:—Dr. H. B, Gibbs, DfSarah Mulholland, Mrs. M. J. Bentley,, and Messrs I. B. Hubbard, C. Pinnock,. E. R. Myers, J. Robertson, M.P., E. ADobbie, J. Goldsmith and Byron Brown. In a discussion regarding the sale of health stamps it was generally considered that the recently imposed surcharge of 7d a letter would seriously militate against the success of the sale of health stamps, and as the health stamp campaign conducted by the Post and Telegraph Department had always, provided a considerable portion of the. funds necessary for the maintaining of health camps it Avas agreed to endeavour to organise a local campaign at the various post offices to sell stamps^
