BIBLE CLASS CONCERT
ST. MARY’S PRESENTATION A very bright and interesting programme was presented by the Junior Young Women’s Bible Class, of the St.. Mary’s Anglican Church, in the parish hall, last evening, when the class members submitted a concert in aid of funds for the new church building fund. There was a very fair attendance, despite many counter-attractions, and the various items were thoroughly appreciated by all. The girls of the class were seen in a play entitled “Bring Me My Bow,” and later furnished a mannequin parade of styles of grandmother’s day, an item which was an interesting portrayal of other times. Other contributors to the programme were: —Piano accordeon solos, Barry Vallance; recitations, Margaret Edwards and Alma Clark; and vocal solos, Eileen Neale and Brenda Bateman in whose item “Little Lady Make Believe,” an impersonation of the “little lady,” was very effectively given by Beverley Mills. A tap dance trio was given by Pam Owen, Pam Bell and Ula Inglis, while Beth* Blenkhorn entertained with a haka. At the conclusion of the programme,. Rev. J. C. Davies. expressed appreciation and thanks to Miss N. Stewart,, the class leader, for her organisation of the effort.
