AIR RAID SCARE IN BERLIN
GUNFIRE AND BOMBLIKE EXPLOSIONS R.A.F. DENIES KNOWLEDGE By Telegraph.—Press Assn—Copyright; Received Monday, 12.25 a.m. BERLIN, Oct. 15. * Gunfire and bomblike explosions north-east of the city "broke out at 9.30 p.m. lasting for ten minutes and at 10.45 p.m. for 15 minutes. Searchlights raked the sky and the radio went off, hut the siren was silent. It was announced officially at 1.25 a.m. that an • unknown 'plane flew over so high that only the noise of the engines could be detected. London authoritatively reports that the R.A.F. was not involved in any raids on Berlin as cabled above, although the Berlin correspondents of the Danish newspapers declare a number of British 'planes were over the capital for two hours on Saturday evening flying at a great height from the direction of the military camp at Dobritz on the north-eastern outskirts of Berlin.
