AUCKLAND SELF-IMPOSED TERRITORIAL QUOTA

(By Teiegraph —Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Last Night. "There is every reason to believe that the objective-of the appeal for 1000 volunteers to bring the peace establishment of Auckland's Territorial Army to normal strength will soon be reached," said the Mayor, Sir Ernest Davis, when announcing that there had now been 80-i enrolments. Sir Ernest said he was very gratified at the result of the campaign. It was explained by Colonel Weir, Officer Commanding the Northern Military District, that the 1000 enrolments aimed at would enable the various units to be brought up to strength, so that fchey could carry on their training to the ullest advantage.
