IMPROVED COLLECTION.

BOROUGH RATING POR YEAR. The rates levied by the Levin Borough Council for the year ended March 31st last amounted to £7584 9s Id, but with remissions and adjustments the collectible amount was reduced to £7566 Is Bd. For the year the sum of £7360 3s sd, representing 97.28 per cent., was collected, an improvement of .67 per cent, on the previous twelve months.

This amount is not yet known, as the necessary valuations have not been received, despite frequent requests to the Valuation Department.
