The Times in a leader says : “Cabinet is not wasting time on the Italian pretext that oppressed Albanians invited the invasion. Recent exploits of the axis have exalted the junior partner much more than the patentee of the totalitarian idea. It was time to gratify Italian pride and Albania was small enough to offer a dramatic coup with little risk, yet the Duce disastrously undermined his good repute in quarters to which he was not indifferent.
“The Pope’s allocution is not an obscure revulsion of the Moslem opinion at the seizure of a Moslem dominion, which cannot be a light matter to the ‘protector of Islam,’ nor was it profitable to provoke Mr, Cordell Hull’s denunciation.

The Bratislava correspondent of the Times says Dr. Sidor, former leader of the Hlinka Guard, which was dissolved, advocates co-operating with Poland in a grand Pan-Slav movement. He severely criticises frontier concessions to Germany and Hungary. The propaganda chief, Dr. Mash, declares that the German-Hungarian parties must be sub-divisions of the Slovak National Part^ MOSLEM WORLD INDIGNANT. “HEINOUS CRIME AND OUTRAGE’’ Received Monday, 9.20 p.m. DELHI, April 10. There is widespread Moslem indignation over the invasion and bombardment of Albania. Sir Khwaja Nazimuddin, Home Minister of Bengal, in a speech at the Moslem Conference condemned “this heinous crime and outrage against humanity.’' A Paris cable says President Lebrun and M. Daladier received protests from the Mohammedan leaders in Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco against the invasion of Albania. The entire Mohammedan world in North Africa is highly indignant and is united in supporting move to prevent further Italian aggression. TRENCH RESERVISTS. MORE TO BE CALLED UP. (Received This Day, 12.20 p.m.) PARIS, April 10. Unconfirmed reports state that
further reserves are being called up as a precautionary measure. PARLIAMENT MEETS ON THURSDAY. MOVEMENTS OF MEDITERRANEAN FLEET. (Received This Day, 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, April 10. It is officially announced that Parliament has been recalled to meet next Thursday. Mr. Chamberlain conferred with Major Atlee for forty-five minutes. All British ships of the Mediterranean fleet are in Italian ports. Their destinations are not disclosed. BRITISH NAVAL OFFICERS RECALLED. TANGIER, April 10. British naval officers were recalled from week-end leave to Gibraltar. Anti-aircraft coastal defences at Malta were manned, this being officially described as a precautionary measure. FRANCE TAKES PRECAUTIONS. REINFORCING GARRISONS. (Received This Day, 11.5 a.m.) PARIS, April 10. Prance is taking precautions in the 1 Mediterranean, this action coinciding with British measures. It is believed Prance is reinforcing the Syria North Africa garrisons.
