CORRIGAN SUFFERS BROKEN LIGAMENT.

After a celebration in his honour Corrigan complained of pains in the chest resulting from the crushing pressure of the crowds. A physician discovered a torn ligament which he treated. Corrigan was permitted to carrv on the .scheduled entertainment. Corrigan explaised that he “feels like a conpic of ribs were broken/’ Douglas Corrigan flew from America to Ireland in a nine-year-old singlemotored ’plane, taking 28| hours for the llight. On lauding lie said the crossing was made by mistake; he had intended Hying to Los Angeles, For this statement lie was elected to life membership bv the Burlington Liars’ Club.
