CURRENT RUMOURS OFFICIALLY QUASHED (By Telegraph-Press Assn.-Copyright) NEW YORK, July 13. The Now York Times' Washington correspondent has been informed that a fiscal official has definitely quashed two rumours affecting Anglo-American monetary relations. First he denied that a monetary clause in the AngloAmerican reciprocal arrangement, providing for a definite relationship between the dollar and the pound, is contemplated. Secondly he said the report that the British authorities are permitting the pound to drop to a new low level in order to stabilise it at that point was false and unfounded.
