, <By Telegraph-Press Assn.~Copyright) # Keceived Wednesday. 11.50 p.m. LONDON, July 13. There was a dramatic conclusion to tne Reventlow case when Sir Patrick Hastings (counsol for Ccrantess Reventlow, the Woolworth heiress) asked and obtained permission to withdraw the case. He ■ * declared that the position had changed as a result of a frank discussion between Mr. Birkett, K.C., counsel for Count Keventlow, and liimself. He appreciated that there was al! the difference in the world between •words uttered in the stress of emotion and words uttered after consideration. He added that personally he would take the responsibility of advising the Countess that the Count had not intended to threaten her safety. The Count was prepared to undertake not to .approach Wingfield House or endeavour to communicate with her "directly or indirectly. The Magistrate agreed to the withdrawal of the case and the Count was discharged. Crowds of well-dressed women waited outside the Court from dayTireak but none were admitted.
