(By Telegraph —Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The possibility that a Bill embodying the Government's Social Security proposals may be introduced in the House of Representatives before thcpresentation of the Budget was mentioned in an interview this evening by the Prime Minister (Mr. Savage). Good progress had been made with the drafting of the necessary legislation, he said, whereas the preparation of '-he Financial Statement and the Estimates was likely to be delayed by a hold-up in the printing.

.Mr. Savage said he was not in a position to discuss the dates for the appearance of either the Social Security Bill or Budget, but the Government would bo everything in its power to expedite the work of the session.

; Discussing this week’s programme the Prime Minister said it was anticipate i that the Address-in-Reply debate would be completed cither to-morrow or Wednesday. One day would be spent discussing the report of the Committee of Inquiry into the maternity services and the rest of the week would be given over to the passing of the Government Bills introduced on Friday. Mr. Savage also stated that the report of the select committee which heard evidence during the recess on the Government’s Social Security proposals would not be presented in the House
