PERSONAL.
The sudden deatli occurred at an early hour this morning of Bryan David Baden Mitchell. The deceased was a single man, aged twenty-three years, and had resided in Winchester Street with his mother for some time.
Mr. 11. 11. Townsend, who has been inspector-manager at the Levin Municipal Abattoir since it was opened in 1929, has been appointed as supervisorinspector to the Wellington Meat Export Company’s works at Xgahauranga. Mr. Townsend will leave at the end of the present month to take up his new position.
j Dr. IT. P. Van Dusen, Professor of [Theology-at the Union Theological Sem!inary, New York, and Mrs. Van Duscn, arrived in Levin this afternoon from Napier. They were met by Lev. Dr. and Mrs. T. W. Fraser and, after visiting several places of interest in this district, were motored to Wellington. Dr. Van Dusen is proceeding to the International Missionary Conference in ■ Madras (India) and landed at Auckland en route.’ He and Mrs. Van Dusen are spending four days in the North Island before continuing their; journey.
