The New Zealand Rugby football team for the Australian tour, announced on June 15th, will assemble in Wellington on Thursday of next week. The team is to leave the same day for Sydney and play the first match of the tour against New South Wales at Sydney on July 16th. In ’order to correct any impression that the extension of the Government’s superannuation scheme applies only to Civil Servants and other superannuitants, the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, said yesterday that, it embraces everybody. Public Servant* were mentioned only as an example of. how the proposals would apply, but the benefit will go to everybody. .“We set out to make it £2OB and after hearing evidence we set out to take it up t) higher reaches up to £6 a week, but I jthose on higher incomes will get less from the National Superannuation Fund than those getting under £208.”
