NEW ZEALAND MEAT AT HOME.
_ ». NOT AFFECTING ENGLISH PRICES (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. Last Night. Referring to a London cable message concerning the price of English fat sheep and lambs the Minister of Marketing (Hon. W. Nash) said to-night that New Zealand supplies of mutton and lamb to the United Kingdom were always determined after consultation and "agreement with the United Kingdom Government. The amount sent forward this year was agreed on in the discussions last year in London. New Zealand's representatives in London had discussed future prospects in the trade. The figures showed an increase in the supplies of home-killed mutton and this had had its effect on the price of homekilled. The amount of frozen mutton and lamb in stock was much less than a year ago and prices of New Zealand mutton and lamb were quite satisfactory, even showing a rising tendency compared with a year ago. "These two factois are a definite indication that it is not mutton and lamb from New Zea land that is affecting the prices of the | English product which has a different i section of the demand," said Mr. Nash
