GRAND FILM AT REGENT.
"THE GEEAT ZIEGFELD."
A musical sequence so spectacular, elaborate and difficult of execution that it required four months to plan, rehearse, and finally film, is the record of the sensational musical pageant, "The Great Ziegfeld," which shows again at the Eegent Theatre to-night The notable stars are William Powell, llyrna Loy and Luise Kainer, who hold the stellar roles, with a staggering supporting cast of 5000 players. The spectacle opens with a gigantic bouquet of American Beauties. From the bouquet emerges Ray Bolger, sensational dancer of the New York stage. The second episode is the "Gotta Pull Strings" feature, in which half a hundred lovely dancers perform on moving stages and toss silver strings to the roof diners, which release clusters of thousands of white balloons. The third episode, "Honeymoon Cottage," reveals eight glorified girls, with their boy companions in Honeymoon Cottage, which gradually takes shape on five moving stages. From "Honeymoon Cottage," the spectacle moves into the , ''Silver Bed" episode, which has 24 beds filled with sleeping beauties, who awake to stage one of the most novel dance features ever seen on the screen. The musical spectacle progresses to the Glorified Fashion Parade, which includes eight of the most beautiful Glorified Girls regaled in the most dazzling costumes ever created for the screen. The finale is staged on a towering circular stairway, winding around a giant revolving disc where 'eight more girls form the train of the elaborate costume that Virginia Bruce wears; as she ascends the stairs.
