SAVES LIVES OF THREE CHILDREN By Telegraph—Press Association.! ROTORUA, Last Night. Three Maori children, Wi Huna, Make Kingi and Tuku Himu, all aged 6, were rescued from drowning this morning by an older companion, Peti Hunu, aged 13, when a small boat in which they were crossing Lake Rotoiti on the way to school, suddenly sank. Showing the greatest tenacity and resource, Peti kept the threeyounger children, who were all unable to swim, afloat until two canoes were paddled to their assistance. The boat was well out on thelake and in very deep water when the accident occurred. None of the; four was much worse for the experience although all were suffering, from shock.
