INTENSE POLICE ACTIVITY. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Last Night.

Intense police activity is being maintained following the mysterious explosion which resulted in Mr. E. A. Singer, the well-known Auckland barrister, being injured as he walked along ~e garden path at his home, at Grafton road after alighting from a taxi at iis •gate on the night of July 9. Mr. Singer, who is a patient in a private hospital, is making a satisfactory recovery, although he is still suffering from shock.
