PENNY INCREASE FORECAST. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WHANGAREI, July 16. While some quarter’s estimate the increase in the guaranteed price this season at about 3d. a lb., Mr. P. Elliottj chairman of directors of the Bikurangi Co-operative ©airy CO., Ltd., at the annual meeting' yesterday considered that the Government would give favourable consideration to increasing the price and that dairy supplies would get something like a penny extra. He did not expect a decision until Mr. Nash returned. He also anticipated that the Government at an early date would take control of the marketing of butter within New Zealand. Mr. Elliott made it clear that his estimate was purely an individual assumption but that it was based on good data.
