PENSIONS FOR M.P.’ S
INQUIRY IN BRITAIN (British Official Wireless.) Received Friday, 7.5 p.m. RUGBY, July 15. Mr. Neville Chamberlain announced in the House of Commons that he has appointed a departmental committee to examine practical aspects of a pension scheme for members of Parliament, the necessary funds to come from personal contributions of members, compulsory or voluntary without any charge to the taxpayers. After the committee had reported he proposed to consult representative members of Parliament.
