Knowing that aeroplanes often dropped propaganda exhorting peace the Fakir Ipi promised his followers that infidels' bombs would hecome paper. Nevertheless when a plane subsequently flew over fear overcame faith and the tribesmen scuttled for cover, hut when the rustle of falling leaflets replaced the expected explosions the hillmen knelt in awe about the Fakir Ipi praising Allah "who turned homos into paper.''
