WAS HE HIT-AND-RUN VICTIM? (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Whether Mr. Charles Peters, aged 65, who now lies in the Christchurch hospital suffering from severe head injuries, was the victim of a hit-and-run motorist or whether he became suddenly indisposed and fell from his bicycle yet remains to be proved. Mr. Peters, who resides at No, .10 Alexandra street. Richmond, was found lying on the roadway in Bealey avenue between Madras street and Barbadoes street intersections shortly before 9 o’clock on Saturday evening. At present the indications ere that Mr. Peters was knocked from Ins bicycle by a passing motor vehicle. His condition to-day was serious.
