Dog Soccer ‘ ‘ Fan. ’ ’ Week after week a collie dog at West Bromwich went by tramcar to watch Albion play. The dog lived in Farm Street, about tw T o miles on the Birmingham side of the ground, and boarded the car at Hockley. He alighted at the boundary stoppingplace near the ground, entered at the same turnstile, and always took up the same place on one of the banks. His owner was an old supporter who had for many years taken the collie to matches, and when he died —well, the dog just carried on. How She Trains. Miss Megan Taylor, British iceskating rival to Miss Cecilia Colledge, has been skating since she was five, and represented Great Britain in the Olympic Games in New York at 11 — the youngest competitor ever to take part in the Games. She is up every morning at 7 o ’clock and goes out on Epsom racecourse for a canter. Among her famous mounts have been Fet, the Cesarewitch winner, and Ballyscanlon, who would never race unless his jockey carried a rattle. She w r as born in London 16 years ago, and has lived all her life in the atmosphere of skating, for her father and coach is Phil Taylor, former world’s champion, and now producer of ice-ballets. Suited Him. Max Baer wins the crumpet for his explanation why he could not sail for England until March 3rd.
