North-west lowa is without telegraph and telephone communication owing to the worst storm in its history. A season of rain and snow preceded a blizzard with a 'forty-mile wind and the ternperature 35 above. 'Railways and buses were halted and delayed. ''••BENTON (Arkansas).. April 25. Wind, hail and electrical storms over portions of Arkansas, Mississippi and Alabama killed three and injured more than fifty. The tornado was responsible for two deaths and the lightning one. The property damage is high, being estimated at 40,000 dollars here alone.
