KING GEORGE VI MAKES HIS CHOICE OF OFFICERS (British Official Wireless.) Received Wednesday, 7.5 p.m. RUGBY, March 2. A long list of appointments to the King's household is gazetted. Among the principal are the following:— Lord Chamberlain, Earl Cromer; Lord Steward, the Duke of Buceleugh and Queensberry; Master of the Horse, the Duke of Beaufort; Treasurer of the Household, Sir George Penny; Comptroller of the Household, Sir Lambert Ward; Vice-Chamberlain of the Household, Sir George Davies; Private Secretary, Major Alexander Hardinge; Assistant Private Secretaries, Messrs P. ■H. Mitchell, A. P. Laseelles and Sir Erie Mievilie; Keeper of the King's Arch,-' ives, Lord Wigram; Keeper of the Privy Purse, Major Ulick Alexander, Financial Secretary to the King, Mr. P. P, Robinson; High Almoner, the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Prebendary Archville is appointed Precentor of Chapels Royal,- while under the heading of medical household there are 35 appointments headed by Lord Dawson of Penn, Lord Border, Sir John Weir and -Sir Maurice Cassidy. The Earl of Athlone is to be Constable and Governor of Windsor Castle and Mr. John Masefield continues to be the Poet Laureate.
