MAYOR OF HOKITIKA HONOURED

At a public gathering of citizens in the Town Hall last evening, the deputyMayor, Mr Leslie Michel presiding, presented the Mayor of Holcitika, Mr George Albert Perry, 0.8. E., with a handsome illuminated address and substantial piece of silver plate in recognition of his 25 years' continuous service as Mayor of the town. Very complimentary references were uiadc to his valued services to tho town and district over a period •)-. year.s, He is the first Hokitika born Lvir-vor of the town.
