FEILDING STOCK SALE.
All classes of stock were represented but in smaller numbers at the Feilding sale yesterday when there was little variation on late rates. A small offering of fat sheep sold readily to local interests with values holding firmly for wether mutton. There was a fair offering of breeding ewes in the store sheep pens but the quality" was variable and consequently prices were not very good. Of the store lambs there were one or two exceptional lines and these, looking healthy and bright, produced keen competition. Considering the quality' of the fat cattle yarded prices were disappointing to vendors, good, well finished cows changing hands at values under recent quotations. The dairy section commanded considerable interest and the offering of mixed quality cows and heifers was quickly disposed of. Good close to profit cows and heifers fully maintained late rates with an appreciable firming tendency,
