SOLID WRESTLING AT HAMILTON.
McCREADY BEATS RUSSELL. % (By Telegraph —Press Association.) HAMILTON, This Day. In a solid exhibition of wrestling in which matwork .was not sacrificed to ■an excessive indulgence of showmanship, Earl MeCready defeated Cowboy Russell by a fall, the only one and secured in the sixth round of a professional" bout at Hamilton last evening. Throughout, both men gave a good display and while MeCready held a decid cd advantage in height and strength, bis opponent gave a plucky exhibition und proved an excellent foil for the ■Canadian. After MeCready had Russell in a gr.oggy condition from a brace of elbow jolts, he picked him up to ‘«lam him heavily ♦to the canvas three times in succession.
