The two competitions were a Victorian posy, Mesdames Evans, J. Griffith and Petersen gaining the first three places, and a thrift, article from waste material, which was won by Mrs Evans, Mrs Field being placed second. The lamp shade, which had -been demonstrated on at the May meeting, was competed for by members, Miss Kathleen McLean being the winner. Many parcels of warm winter clothing were brought by members and they are to be distributed by the Social Service Committee. Several new members were present at the meeting, the President, Mrs Xeas occupying the chair. An. excellent afternoon tea was provided by the hostesses, Mesdames Death and Dome and Miss Davies, thus bringing si very pleasant afternoon to a close.
