LEVIN METHODISM.
The quarterly meeting of the Levin Methodist Church was held in the Century hall, nineteen members being present. Rev. W. G. Blade presided and conducted the opening deovtional service. Reports from various branches of the church’s activities, disclosed the fact that satisfactory work was being accomplished. The financial aspect was viewed as being very praiseworthy. Slight deficiencies in some departments were outbalanced by the fact that during the quarter over £17(1 had been raised for various purposes, besides a creditable sum received towards the new church fund. The appointment of Mrs. E. Bott as foreign mission secretary received the unanimous sanction of the meeting. The appointment of a missionary committee to act in conjunction with the secretaries of home and foreign departments respectively, was left in the hands of the circuit stewards and the incoming minister of the circuits. After the general routine of business was concluded. Rev. Air. Slade took kindly farewell of his officials, expressing appreciation of loyalty to service and many thoughtful kindnesses tendered to the dwellers of the Parsonage. Mr F. H. Hudson voiced*the feelings of the members, in expresing to Mr. Blade,, the thanks and appreciation of the meeting and members generally, for a faithful term of service in the Leivn Methodist Church. A sliorf period of devotion in which several new members took part, followed- and the Benediction by the Chairman closed the meeting.
