A shallow depression is crossing New Zealand and a secondary is approaching the southern portion, An anticyclone extends from Tasmania across the north Tasman Sea. The forecast is for moderate ■ westerly winds, freshening at times, later hacking to southwesterly. Weather mainly fair to cloudy, hut some scattered light showers likely. Seas moderate to rather rough.
