MEDIAN AND FULL THROTTLE EARLE STAKES HONOURS.

Tlie Wanganui Jockey 'Club's summer meeting concluded on Saturday in weather which commenced by being fine and sunny but gradually became •clouded over, rain falling steadily for the second half of the programme. The track was still in good order and the times fast. Tlie attendance was much better than on the first day, and the totalisator handled £lO-714, compared with £10,023 10s on tlie second day last year. The total f'o the meeting was £18,701, as against £19.400 for the 1935 meeting, which was held on Thursday and Saturday. Results continued from Saturday's issue:—

An inquiry was held into interference with Dun'garvan by Whetuma in the Brunswick Hack Handicap, but this was deemed accidental. An inquiry was also held into Happy Land ing's striking the rails at the three furlongs in the Wanganui Hack Handicap, but this also was considered accidental, no other horse being held to have interfered with Happy Landing.
