TWO PALMERSTON NORTH MEN. SUPPRESSION OF NAMES REFUSED. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) PALM LHSTON X., This Day. Though an order suppressing their names had been made by Mr. Stout, S.M., on their first appearance before the Magist rati' ’s Court, a renewal of this was refused when two men were remanded by Justices of Peace to-day on charges of arson. Accused were Harold Hales Hutchison, commission agent, aged I’.!), and Douglas Henry Baker, labourer, aged o(). The former was charged with wilfully setting tire to a dwelling, 118 College Street; while the latter was charged with wilfully setting (ire to the Makolnkn Hotel. When the Pencil announced their refusal to suppress the names and after a further remand was granted, counsel usked them to reconsider their decision, but after a brief retirement the Bench decided to adhere to their,refusal of suppression.
