Amendments Defeated MU J. A. NASH RE-ELECTED PRESIDENT / _____ {By Telegraph —Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. At the Power Boards' conference Mr O’Shea’s amendments were heavily defeated. It was decided to send a deputation with all the conference’s recommendations to the Prime Minister, .the Minister for Finance, and the Minister for Public Works. The conference then closed with the election of officers, which resulted: President, Mr J. A. Nash, M.P. (Mana-watu-Oroua); executive, Messrs G. A. Monk (Horowhenua), F, Purnell (Wanganui-Rangitikei), S. J. Harbutt (Auckland), W T . Hinchey (Southland), A. C. Pearce (Wairarapa), G. Dash (South Canterbury), A. C. Russell (Central Hawke’s Bay), F. Nicholl (Ashburton), J. T, Johnson (Te Awajnutu), A. E. Russell (Otago), S. Blackley (Hutt Valley), M. Cable (representing the North Island supply jauthorities), E. Hitchcock (South Island supply authorities), H. F. Toogood (Engineers’ Association), and K. .W. Eglinton (Secretaries’ Committee); secretary, treasurer and legal adviser, Mr F. M. Martin (Wellington); auditors, Messrs Clark, Menzics, Griffin and Ross.
