RURI BEATS ROYAL BANQUET IN MARANGAI HANDICAP. SEAFIELD HANDICAP TO MIDIAN AND SPRINT TO GALILEE. The Wangaiiui Jockey Club's spring meeting opened yesterday in fine though dull weather. The attendance was good and, the totalisator hand led £7043 10s, as compared with £7590 10s o'n the first day last year. The track was easy and in first class order and the racing interesting.
