The Premier, Hon. P. Collier, delivering his budget speech in the Assembly estimated a deficit for 1935 of £255,647.
Mr. Collier foreshadowed a remission of the emergency cuts in civil servants’ pay. He said he saw no reason why civil servants should be penalised to a greater extent than other members of the community.
