The Associated Press special Geneva correspondent says that Sir Samuel Hoare at the Assembly on Wednesday morning will make a pronouncement of first-class importance on the Abyssinian question. Sir Samuel Hoare and Mr A, Eden had a long conversation this morning after which both saw M. Laval. It is understood Sir Samuel will base his Assembly speech largely on the necessity for keeping the British and French policy in step. Those in well-informed quarters 'deny that there is any move for a League mandate over Abyssinia. CONCILIATION COMMITTEE FINDINGS HINTED THAT ITALY WILL IGNORE THEM (Received This Day, 9.45 a.m.) LONDON, September 10 The British United Press correspondent says that the Italians hint that they will ignore the findings of the Conciliation Committee, which in that case will submit their recommendations to the Council under Article 15.
