Japanese Goodwill Mission
WILL VISIT NEW ZEALAND NEXT MONTH

From the latest news received it is likely that the commercial and industrial goodwill mission now being arranged in Japan to visit New Zealand and Australia will not tour Australia first as had previously been arranged, but will arrive here about the middle of August. This information was giveu to-day by Mr. Ken Sato, assisting managing editor of the Osaka Minichi, who is in Wellington at present as Japanese people's goodwill representative. The -Japanese goodwill mission to New Zealand and Australia, Mr. Stfto said, will be led by the Ambassador plenipotentiary, Katsuji Debuchi, one of the leading diplomats of Japan, who only recently returned from the position of Ambassador in Washington. From information he lias received the present intention" of the mission, Mr. Sato said, is to leave Japan on July .15 by the Kitano Maru and arrive at Syd ney on August 14. Almost immediately upon arrival the mission will come to New Zealand arriving in Wellington lon about August 20. It will stay in New Zealand until the end of the month. Mr. Sato will leave for Rotorua on Friday and leave Auckland for Sydney on July 16.
Exhibition of Australian , MELBOURNE, July 10. Arrangements have been completed by the Federal and State Governments for a comprehensive exhibition of Australian products suitable for export opening at Tokio in October. The exhibition is the outcome of the recent visit of the Japanese goodwill delegation and all expenses will be borne by two influential Japanese newspaper organisations.
