DANNEVIRKE MEETING CONCLUDES IN FINE THOUGH OVERCAST WEATHER. GOOD RACING AND CLOSE FINISHES. The Daimovirke Racing Club’s meeting was concluded on the Woodville racecourse yesterday, it he day being fine though overcast and the attendance satisfactory. The totalisator investments amounted to £3922 (seven races) during the day, as compared with £2767 10s (eight races) on the corresponding day last year. For the meeting the total was £7817 10s, as against £5551 10s, the increase being £2366. JOCKEY SUSPENDED FOR ONE MONTH A N inquiry was held after the . running of the Weber Juvenile, during which Hilton Gorse got on the heels of Rompalong and came down, and after hearing the evidence the judicial committee decided that W. S. Pine, the rider of Rompalong, who had crossed over in front of Hilton Gorse, had been guilty of careless riding and 1 ; that he should be stood down for one. month.
