SPEND NEW YEAR'S DAY AT WAITARERE.
A CHILDREN'S DAY.
From half-past ten in the morning • until late afternoon with'an interval for luncheon there will be continuous entertainment for children at Waitdrere on New Year's Day. Motorists" may drive their ears on to the be&ch to convenient parking places, where they can enjoy an uninterrupted view of the spacious beach and clftldren can romp on" the sandhills at the 'back or paddle in the sea watfers in view of 'their parents. Children's races with liberal prizes, will bulk largely on the programme. Ice creams will ibe obtainable on the beach and a treasure hunt, to be limited to children, will be among other popular features for those who will spend New Year's Day at Waitarere.
