Wellington Without Power for 20 Minutes
BREAK AT SUB-STATION WELLINGTON, Last Night. A break at the Khandallah substation caused a stoppage of power in Wellington from 12.38 to 12.56 p.m., just at the time when many people were going home for lunch. The cause of the break was the fracture by a strong wind of a “jumper ’’ at Khandallah outside the station.
