Control of Rugby

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS. WELLINGTON, Last Night. A sub-committee, consisting ot* Messrs. S. S. Dean, J. Roaehe and J". Prendcville, was set up by the management committee of the New Zealand Rugby Football Union to-night to deal with the question of Rugby broadcasts and to report later to the management committee. Regarding the question of Maori football, which was referred to tho management committee by the annual meeting, Mr. Dean suggested that a meeting be held with the Maori executive. Action was wanted speedily and the position could be outlined to the Maori executive. A meeting with representatives of the Maori unions and the European unions concerned could then be held. A meeting between tho management committee and the Maori executive was arranged for May 16.
