Italian Flier’s Record Altitude

TAINT AND RECOVERY ROME, April 11. The noted aviator Eenato Donati, flying a specially-constructed biplane, reached a record altitude of 49,713 ft. He landed in a state of exhaustion. His instruments registered a temperature of 68 degrees below zero. Descending/ Donati fainted, but quickly recovered and resumed control.
