INTRODUCING CHRISTMAS CHEER FUND.
GRAND PROCESSION TO-MORROW EVENING. The procession which is to take place in aid of the Mayor's Christmas Cheer Fund for (Children should draw a larger number of visitors to the town to-morrow evening. It will leave Stuckey Street at 6.30 p.m. sharp, and the route will be along Oxford Street and Queen Street West to Salisbury Street, up Devon Street and back along Oxford Street to the business area, where various forms of entertainment will be given till 7.45 and boxes will be taken around for contributions to th-3 fund. Car owners and drivers are invited to co-operate in keeping the eastern side of Oxford Street clear between those hours, so as to avoid congestion of traffic. Among the various attractions will be a Darktown ■turnout by the Levin Fire Brigade, which, after the procession, will quell an outbreak behind Mortensen's Block Subsequently the Levin Silver Band will render selections in front of Messrs Lunn and Henley's, Oxford Street.
