Rumberg Beats Pereira By Single Fall

GOOD BOUT AT NEW PLYMOUTH NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night. ■Rumberg defeated Pereira by a fall in the seventh round in the brightest wrestling bout seen in Taranaki for some time. The men were wellmatched, Pereira probably having a lead on points when Rumberg jumped on him and crushed him to the mat. There was very little showmanship, but a great deal of good, hard wrestling. The eighth round was a desperate one in which Pereira failed in a great endeavour to retrieve a lost bout.
