SCHOOLS FOOTBALL.
TRIAL AND REP. MATCHES. PREPARATIONS FOR QUADRANGULAR TOURNEY. The sub-committee appointed by the Quadrangular Tournament Committee to arrange details with regard to the selection of the Hbrowhenua ‘School reps, met yesterday to finalise arrangements. The first trial match will be held . next Saturday, at Levin, subsequent games being set down for July 22nd and 29th and August sth, after which the team will meet Wellington. A seven-a-side tournament which was to have been held to-day at Otaki, between teams representing schools tfrom Ohau to Paekakariki, was postponed on account of the weather. The matches set jiown are: — July 22nd. —Possibles v. Probables. July 29th.—Team v. Doubtfuls and •thers. August sth. —Team v. Emergencies and others. August 15th.: —Team v. Wellington. August 19th,—Quadrangular Tourney . starts.
