SENTENCED TO TWO MONTHS.
INDIAN" WITH A LONG UST. Ail Indian named Sham" Singh, with .a lengthy list of previous convictions .for such offences as drunkenness, bad language and resisting the police, apbefore the Mayor (Mr P. W. Goldsmith) and Mr E. J. Lancaster, -J'sP., in the Levin Court this morning. He had -been arrested by Constable Warren for,being drunk in Oxford Street and using obscene language repeatedly in a public place, late on 'Saturday afternoon. - At least nineteen previous. i,,x-onvic-tjons against the accused were known. On the charge of drunkenness he was Convicted and ordered to pay taxi hire, and for the language he had used he -was sentenced to two months' imprisonment.
