On the ground that she failed to discharge the onus to prove the defendant company's negligence caused the accident Judge Ostler rion-suited Gertrude Laura Cresswell, who claimed £3265 damages from the Dominion Farmers' Institute, Ltd., as the result of a severe injury* received when in the employ of the company. Mrs Cresswell fell down some steep steps adjacent to the kitchen of the tearooms, of which she was manageress, in the Dominion Farmers' Institute building.
