Stedman, who yesterday was unduly distressed at the end of Ms long match, it to-day in bed with laryngitis. He offered to forfeit in the fourth round to Crawford or that the match should be played to-morrow, but Crawford refused, insisting on a postponement till Saturday, to enable Stedman to have time for recovery.
