(From Our Own Correspondent.) The hunt at Mr. H. B. Lethbridge te■property on Wednesday afternooh. proved very enjoyable, there being a large following. There were-a few~ spills but no one was seriously injured. The radio dance at Te Horo on Tuesday night was one of the social, events of the season. Those present indulged, in old-time dancing to splendid music, supplied by a radio firm from Palmerston and the time passed all too quickly. Mr. J. R. Cottle supplied extras on the accordeon, music that was also appreciated and in keeping with the oldtime dances, Mr. Clay was an ableM.C., and Mr, P. J. Taylor a very capable secretary. Owing to the success of‘the function it was decided tohold another similar function in about, a month’s time, when it is expected that there will be a crowded hall. The wedding of Miss Helen Agnes Taylor, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs.. Arthur Taylor, of Te • Horo, -to Mr., Leonard Mullins, of Upper Hutt. took: place at the Methodist Church, Te Horq, on Monday, when the Eev. MAyrton was the' officiating Minister.. The bride was nicely dressed in brown , morocain,' and was attended by hersister, Kathleen, dressed in fed morocain. Mrs. Taylor, mother of the bride, afterwards received her guestsat afternoon tea, attired in brown, satin. The' Te Horo Ladies’ Hockey Clubis to be congratulated on the successof their dance which took place at the Hautere Hall on Wednesday night. There was a large number, many from Otaki and Parapuraumu, present, and all were pleased with theirevening’s outing. The ■ _ Rikihana. otchestra played < spirited music whileMessrs N. Synnott and Clay were energetic M.’sG. The novelty dance competitions were won by Miss Galley and partner, and by Miss Cleland and partner, vhile the guessing competition was won by Mrs. Rockett, of Otaki.. Euchre prizes were won by Mrs. Purse and Mr. W. Fielding, and second prizes by Mrs. Wylie and Mr. J. Evans. Mrs. Synnott'was in charge of the euchre, while Miss Synnott kindly played an extra for the dance. So successful wa«M the function that it has been decided to hold another at no distant date. Mr. McLean was a most capable secretary. During the evening Mr. W’.-O Fiebig, in a neat speech, ! presented the' prizes and warmly complimented"' the promoters on the success of the function.
