Mr L. Astridge, who has been on the local P.O. staff for the past ten months has received notice of his transfer to the exchange at Masterton. Mr Harry Tennant, who for the past eight months has been manager of the Regent Theatre, has been transferred and will return to Gisborne at the end of next week. He will carry with him the goodwill of many friends in Levin, where he has been very popular with theatregoers, sports bodies and the public generally. His successor is Mr P. Charlwood, manager of the Eegent Theatre at Tauranga, His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales was 39 years of age yesterday. Prince Edward, the eldest son of the present King and Queen, was born in 1894. He was christened Edward Albert Christian George Andrew Patrick David. The first four names are family names, and the remaining three Were bestowed upon him as links with the component parts of the British Isles, the names being those of the 1 patron saints of Scotland, Ireland, and Wales.
